From flax seeds to woven cloth...

Go right to the heart of the Breton textile industry from the 16th to the 19th century.

The smell of beaten earth, the taste of flax seeds, the softness of fibres and the thinness of the woven cloth...

A journey through the universe of weavers and merchants is waiting for you !

Once the cloth is ready, discover the world of international trade by boarding the ships to Latin America with the cloth of Quintin... But watch out for pirates and corsairs, they are waiting for the fleet to arrive!

Experience each stage of the flax processing, from the seeds import to the export of woven cloth, through ancient tools demonstration. One of them is a 19th century loom.

During this 45 minutes guided visit, try the tools and contribute to the exchange about linen and textile.

The visit is for everyone.
